My grandson, Eli, will be one on the 13th. It almost seems impossible how much he has grown in just 12 months. Kids now a days learn how to do sign language long before they can talk. Yes, I said sign language. Eli has hand signs to tell you if he wants a drink, more food or had enough. Many others. So, here he is just one and can communicate, walk and climb. Thanks to having a good Mom and Dad he also says please, thanks and says a prayer before eating or going night night. He is eager to learn and Mom and Dad are willing teachers.
In our Christian lifes many start off, like Eli, eager and willing to learn about their Lord. Sometimes it seems like they stop when they have conqured the basics, they can walk and talk. But it seems like they are walking baby steps and talking baby talk. God want us as His children to grow. We can only grow if we daily apply our self to His will by reading His word and talking to Him in prayer.
Joshua 1:8 this book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thou way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
