If The Tomb Wasn’t Empty
If the tomb wasn’t empty, we’d be men without hope,
There would be no reason for us to try & cope;
But Jesus came forth after only three days,
Rising victorious over Hell, sin, & the grave!
If the tomb wasn’t empty, there’d be no reason to live,
Salvation would be a lie, with no way to forgive;
“Why seek ye the living among the dead?
He is not here, but He is risen instead!”
If the tomb wasn’t empty, we’d be condemned to Hell,
Separated from God, in eternal flames we’d dwell;
Only the grave clothes were left within the tomb,
For death, sin, Hell, & the grave–no room!
Thank God the tomb was empty after 3 prophesied days,
He always fulfills every word He might ever say;
That means He’ll be returning to take us all Home,
Praise Him! the empty tomb gives us reason to go on!
