God Saw That It Was Good
“And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.” Genesis 1:4
God is good! He spoke light into a world of darkness. At the end of each day of creation we read that God saw that it was good. When we come to the sixth day we read, “And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.” (Genesis 1:31) All was good, in fact it was very good. Then we come to Genesis 2:18 “And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” God saw that it was not good for man to be alone, and God made a woman. God gave us each other, family and friends. He gave us preachers and teachers, and Christian brothers and sisters. And most of all, God gave us His dear precious Son. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:31-32) God is good!
