It’s not the Flag. People are crying take down the flag, others are shouting leave it up. It’s not the gays. Some are saying let people marry who they want to, others are saying don’t let them. It seems to me that we have developed the attitude of’ ”anything different from what I want: is wrong.”
Some people speak out from a point of hate and fear, or maybe not really know what to say.
The Bible believing Christian must act out of love, John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
The real problem in a lack of Bible knowledge, Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
When we as a Nation reject God and His Word or try to make His Word fix our prejustice, then we are in trouble. Proverbs 14:33 Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known. 34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
We also have to understand that people will always disagree about things. Someone said we can disagree but we don’t have to be disagreeable.
As an American I believe people should have the freedom to live their life without fear of attack, from other citizens or their own government.
I also believe in freedom of speech, period. If you want to speak out for a cause you believe in, so be it. But we cannot call everyone that disagrees with us hate-mongers. Real freedom is not able everyone pressed into the same mold. It is about diversity.
I do not expect the “Pro-life” to agree with the “Pro-choice”; the “Pro-gay” to agree with the “Anti-gay”; I do not expect the Preacher to not preach “against sin” and I don’t expect the sinner to “stop sinning”, I could go on but you see what I mean. But I believe when we prohibit citizens the freedom to express them self, then we are prohibiting freedom.
Freedom does not mean that everyone has to have the same point of view, but it does means everyone should have the right to express their point with out fear of retaliation.
The Christian view of life is different from the non-Christian point of view. I hear lots of things being said coming from a heart of hate, hurt or fear from both sides. When we view the world out side out God’s Word, then we are headed for trouble. Proverbs 21: 2Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.3 To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. 4 An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.
The problem is that a lot of so called Christians are only wolves in sheep clothing.
Matthew 15:7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
So you see, it’s not the flag it’s the heart. Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
