Pizza Lessons

I was eleven years old and baby set my nephew for a few days and a few dollars. My older brother Charlie decided since everything had gone well that he would give me a bonus, at trip to the movies. It was my first time to go to a drive in movie and first time to eat pizza.
Follow That Dream is a 1962 musical film starring Elvis Presley. The movie was based on the novel Pioneer, Go Home! by Richard P. Powell. It was about family homesteading a piece of land near a bridge after their car broke down. They decided to follow their dreams and start a sports fishing business.
Today in the news was a story of a man that was making over $750,000.oo a year as CEO  to $7.29 per hour delivering pizzas. Talking about following a dream, sounds like a nightmare. He said I have to keep food on the table.
It is easy making adjustments in life style as we move up the pay scale but the way back down is much harder.
The Bible tells us that we should not assume that our life will be the same tomorrow as today. Brother Cannon’s famous saying is, “Plan like you are going to live forever, live like you may die tomorrow.” Sounds like good advise.

Proverbs 6: Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: 7Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,

Luke 12: 19And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. 20But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? 21So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
