A war of words is a very bad thing,
Everything spoken will truly hurt & sting;
Thing said in anger will cause you to cry,
Then, when it’s over, you’ll be asking Why?
A war of words is hurtful and cruel,
It’s part of the devil’s vile, evil fuel;
He helps those who tear other hearts down,
But there’s victory when God’s grace abounds!
A war of words starts out with anger,
Our fleshly choice brings us close to danger;
When we ask God to lead our ways and words,
He’ll keep our lips from saying things that hurt!
There’s no reason for a war of words,
Making a heart bleed in anguish & hurt;
Ask God to guide in all you do and say,
Things will be different if it’s done His way.
