The Guiding Shepherd
The guiding Shepherd directs our steps each day,
Keeping our heart’s desire to live in His way;
The preeminent One is our Lord and Savior,
All those in His fold receive His loving favor!
He’s the powerful One whose hand is at work,
Restoring the broken, healing hearts that hurt;
Death itself couldn’t hold Him inside the grave,
He breaks the chain of death for anyone saved!
He’s the present One who lives in our heart,
We’re very blessed, to know He won’t depart;
He’s walking with us in every step we take,
Prompting us daily to follow His true way!
He’s the personal One our heart knows within,
His blood erased from us the penalty of sin;
Praise God! He moves in us teaching us His way,
For who He is, we give Him glory and praise!
