This is a copy of a post my son Alan put on Facebook.
Eli has been reading his children’s Bible all day. He started in Gen 1 and is now reading David and Goliath. He’s read 180 pages of God’s Word. He said that he wanted to read the Bible so he would know how to live. I am a blessed dad!
Proverbs 1:8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother. 9. For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.
It was lesson 8 of a Bible study on a Wednesday night. The lesson was a little hard to teach and I felt a little dry. It seem like this had been a hard week for me to get my study time in. One of the members had a death in the family and where I work we got a new boss. It was almost seven p.m. when I finally got the pass out sheets printed and ready to go. I felt that it was not going to be a easy service but the Lord reminded me that He honors faithfulness.
After the service a young lady came up and told me that she wanted to be saved. I happy to take the Bible and show her.
1. All have sinned.
2. The wages of sin is death.
3. The gift of God is eternal life.
4. Confess your sins and ask forgiveness.
5. Believe God for salvation.
She prayed and asked the Lord in her heart! Praise the Lord! A soul saved.
Thank You Jesus!
